Evaluation: Question 4

From my thorough music video audience feed back I've learned many things. Firstly I've learned that editing was a strong feature of our music video. From the video above my audience have said that the cutting was on the beat and that the edits such as fast motion and the animation, were really strong. I am happy my audience liked the edits as when planning on the blogs, my group and I wanted thy to be a strong feature.
From audience feedback, improvements that could be made to make the video better, were more locations, change in costume and a variety of camera shots from different angles. Taking all this on board, I've thought of areas where I could have included these improvements. For example, I could have filmed in another location such as Canarby Street a it still goes with my genre conventions and its somewhere where my target audience would shop and be familiar with. This would have also allowed for a change in costume, maybe wearing clothes from one of the shops on Canarby Street. From watching back my music video, I've noticed how I haven't had many high angle shots. Again for an improvement, I could add have added in high angle shots when filming on Paget Street to make it make it more diverse.
From their overall feedback, my audience liked the artists performance in the music video, they believed what they saw (which was the plan) and would definitely buy Nabilla J's album.

From my in depth audience feedback about my digipak and advert, I've learned quite a few things. One of them being that both my digipak and advert fit my genre and still relate back to my music video ,even though its in a slightly different colour scheme. My audience also liked the strong images on my digipak as it shows 3 different sides to the artist (the first being a calm side, then a fun side ten inside, a wild side).
For improvements, my feedback has let me now that I could have added in an extra sign on my digipak of where it could be bought from and a bright sticker saying "OUT NOW" or something similar. I did think of this when making my advert but I thought I would just stick to the plain and simple version. I now know that adding it in would have made my digipak extra special.
Overall, from my feedback, my audience said they liked the simplicity of my digipak because many other CDs out now are way over the top; and they liked how strong the front panel picture is because it is noticeable.
The audience feedback was very useful because it let me go over my work and pick out what I could have done better. Self criticism of your own work is sometimes a lot more useful than getting other people to criticise your work.
