Here are different magazines with Kate Nash on the front cover. In theses pictures, the audience instantly get the impression of an artist who is quirky and 'indie style' if they do not know who she is. This is portrayed by her costume especially in magazine 1 & 3, where she wears funky garments(e.g skull necklace, vintage bob eccentric clothing, striking make-up etc). In magazine 2, the image Kate Nash portrays is a more down-to earth, indie pop and quirky girl, which is our aim for when we create our music video and Digi pack. She is also smiling, which is reassuring and gives off a more natural 'Kate Nash' rather than portraying her egos in magazines 1&3. However, there are some similarities that I admire in all magazines:
.The font used is bold and striking
.Her name is printed in Caps lock, to engage the audience.
.Medium shot is used, to expose her face, which is most important.
. All 3 magazines target a specific audience which corresponds with her genre for e.g
1. FMS magazine targets teenage girls who are into indie pop music, and fashionable artist
2. NME is mainly a male magazine. Kate Nash may be used in the magazine to attract a larger male fan base, however they use Jack Penate in the front page too - to help increase larger fan base, because he is male.
3.RANDOM magazine is targeted at sophisticated young female adults with a distinctive dress sense, and a love for elctropop and indie pop music.
Kate Nash appears in all three magazines to mainly attract a larger fan base of alternative genre, to increase fa base and become more popular in other similar genres, other than just in the indie pop genre. These information has given me ideas on how to attract a larger fan base, to when we come to create our own digi pack and music video.
