Production: Student Work Influence
So I was going through Vimeo to get more inspirations on how to make the music video unique and creative. In this student music video, there is alot of obvious edits used to re-create a funky theme. Furthermore, the video has altered its colour settings and used bright bold colours to reflect the performer's ego - as a confident , independent lady. In the same basis, I will aim to use numerous obvious edits to re-create a quirky theme and (as I mentioned before in the previous post) to re-create a vintage theme and portray a ascentric persona of Nabilla J.
I choose these two shots as a central focus points because I thing they both demonstrate a great use of Final Cut Pro effects and obvious edits (Carol Vernallis theory). It also shows that this group that edited this music video thought carefully in how they would portray this character - I believe they wished to portray her as a confident female, the girl thats everyone wants to be like Beyonce or Kelly Rowland. I would say that we portrayed Nabilla J as a down-to-earth local girl where the target audience can relate with her.
