Production: Thoughts on First day of 'Editing'

I thought today's first lesson of editing was challenging . Despite the tutorial in lesson we had of lip syncing, I did not practice enough on how to lip sync successfully. Thankfully I managed to sync all our base track, and I am ready to edit our final music video professionally. Here is an overview of the good points and bad points I experienced  while constructing our Rough Cut.

Good points:

.We worked as a group and helped each other to decide on what parts to cut and what parts to use in our timeline

. We have left yourself enough time to compete our rough cut before the deadline and plan in advance what effects and edits to use in constructing our final music video.

.I helped managed the lip syncing and placed all the base tracks in order as desired

.I missed lunch to aid us to complete the rough  cut -which shows my determination

Bad points:

. I began panicking because some of the footage were miss placed

. The lip syncing was challenging because we could hear the audio when played on final cut, so had to look at the lip movement of Nabilla J to match the track.

. We had alot of 'extra' footage and  which was tricky when we were doing our rough cut as we filmed some footage halfway through the song, which delayed our time.

. I was hungry and tired which made me loose concentration towards the end of our lesson
