During the last lessons of AS Media Studies, we had a taster of what A2 Media would be like. One of which was to produce a re-make of the selected song choices from the blog, and practice using base tracks. Base tracks is an important part of constructing a music video as it gives it structure. The music video I will be analysing is 'Cha Cha Slide' performed by Nancy and Ipeck.
The strengths of this music video:
. Base tracks are used well
.Song track is well synced
.Visual images is well framed by the filming camera
.The location varies
.The simplicity of the music video makes it more effective
The weaknesses of this music video :
. Jump cuts are less frequent
. Edits do not correspond the rhythmn of the music
.No obvious edits used - which is supposed to attract the audience.
